Envirolab’s first meeting of the 2026–27 academic year will be with Philly Pigeon Tours. Philly Pigeon Tours explores how humans domesticated pigeons, brought them into our cities, and eventually came to view them as pests. Urban ecology experts Aspen Simone and Hanna Michelle Brower will lead us on a walking tour through Philadelphia’s Italian Market, where we’ll learn about pigeons and our relationships with them within our shared urban environment.
